Welcome to the Columbus
Veterans Beneficial Board

There are approximately 95,000 veterans in
Franklin County. Some are homeless, many are
not. One common fact — many need help in one
way or another. The Columbus Veterans Beneficial
Board was established to come to their aid.

American Pride

Freedoms we've lost – values we knew,
Our symbols and strength in red, white and blue,
Gifts taken for granted – in God we trust,
Lost beliefs created – theft, greed and lust.

Watching the world become weaker each day,
Tensions mounting in places far away,
Our beliefs and dreams tattered and torn,
Finances shattered our sprits worn.

Economy's recession to stifle our needs,
Values wavering – we need a reprieve,
How this all happened is quite a mess,
American people in such distress.

Working together we can stop the pain,
Keeping strong – our dignity regained.
Freedom for all – not just a few,
Peace for Americans – the freedom we knew!

The Board is a 501-C3 organization founded by Steve
Miller and dedicated to serving the needs of the local
veterans. Money has been used to fund various homeless programs and to make contributions to area Veteran's hospitals.
